Outreach Trip

The September group was formed of missionaries from Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, Post Falls, Idaho,

Spokane, & Ritzville, Washington

Team members distribute some gifts to boys at a local orphanage

True Light Missionaries love spending time with children at the orphanages

Rag rug workshop with some local saints

A very special time of service at Nuevo Amanecer (a community at the Tecate dump)

This team provided and served a luncheon, rebuilt some living shelters and learned to make hand-made bricks

Some members continued construction on the School of Ministry in Tecate

while others served the needy with housecleaning services.

Winter Trip - December 16 - 22, 2006

College Age and

Fellowship Bible Church Women's Group

Nineteen missionaries served on the Winter Trip.

The team worked in many areas of ministry:

† construction on youth classroom

† mud, tape, textured inside the church

† host VBS for children in the area

† drama ministry for orphans

† sewing classes for women in the church

† men's seminar for pastors

† street ministry, clothing give away,

New Testament distribution

† sharing of testimony

† construction of church near Mexicali

† fellowship and participation in worship

service

Mexico Excursion Feb. 12 - 19

Seventeen missionaries participated in the Mexico Excursion. It was a great time of Bible study, worship, and ministry preparation on board a cruise ship. While docked in Ensenada the group gave away over 60 gift bags to the Mexican children. Included in each bag was an invitation to a local Christian church.

The second part of the Excursion landed the team in Tijuana where they enjoyed sharing God's love at an orphanage. They played soccer and other games with the children. Crafts were also made, and a Bible story drama was performed. Many gifts, like Bible story coloring books, crayons, and blocks, were left at the orphanage. From there the team went to a church lovingly referred to as the Tijuana "carport" church. Pastor Dave was able to preach in both Spanish and English.

A VBS for the children was organized, and the team had time to worship with the congregation.

About 75 Lunch bags filled with snacks and an invitation to attend the church were left for the congregation to deliver to families in the neighborhood. Many opportunities for sharing God's love and planting seeds of the Gospel were experienced throughout the trip.
